Friday 10th January

Hello and welcome to the first knitting session of the New Year...we of course celebrated with cake and knitting and chatter and laughter x
Claire was working on a vintage  table cloth that Father Christmas brought her to finish.......

There was lots of knitting to look at .........
We had wintery holly out on a cross stitch runner..........................
And the tables were decorated with 1940's vintage hand embroidered table cloths and crochet doileys
There was lots of catching up to do after the Christmas break,,,,,,,,,
We had apple crumble cake, a plum tart, rich chocolate brownies, a Clementine sponge and mince pies and clotted cream.
Jan had made these dishclothes, they are very on trend!
And Carla showed us her skein winding machines........
with very little effort it winds the yarn
In to a beautiful neat, tidy ball......this beautiful dyed yarn is from Devon Sun Yarns , just down the road.
We used our lovely tea cups again.......
Our favorites are these Utility Ware cups from the 1930's and 40's.
Look at this amazing vintage knitting bag.......

containing fleece and a drop spindle for portable spinning........
Another one of our 1940's tablecloth...printed this time
And I just thought I would show you our lovely leaded windows...the sun streams through and lights up our knitting and crafts. Hope you have enjoyed joining us and pop in next week to follow our knitting adventures x
